Treating your property in Llanelli
Here at Clearsafe we know every Japanese Knotweed problem is unique. We asked our lead surveyor James for his recollections of his last treatment in Llanelli.
“We were called to survey a large well established Japanese Knotweed infestation that had rendered two thirds of a garden at a terraced property unusable.
The infestation presented in the entire northern-most 8 metres of the rear garden.
The previous owners had fenced off this portion of the garden and resigned themselves to never using this area in future.
When the house was sold the buyer employed us to manage the infestation with the intent of being able to use the area again in a few years.
The buyer was really concerned that the knotweed was starting to grow through the fence and threatening to render the only usable garden area left unusable.
We put a 5-year management plan in place with the first treatment successfully applied in September.
Following a survey visit in April no regrowth had occurred in the usable area of the garden and the regrowth in the heavily infected area was around 20% of the total growth of the previous season.
We believe that the previously unusable area will be ready to use again by April 2024 following another successful treatment due in September 2023.
The client is overjoyed with the progress so far, as are we.”
